Today, it really hit me that some or most or even all of the things I (or people) currently have is as a result of prayer, particularly when it comes to salvation and being fervent walking with God.

My dad told me how he had been praying for me regarding my fervency towards God and he’s happy to see it happening in my life. He said it was what he mostly prayed for in 2020 and 2021.

I was a Christian, but I was lukewarm, doing the minimum. It all started to change in 2019, then Covid hit, and it dropped and it picked up in 2021 but slowly and gradually got to where I am. I’m not “perfect” in my walk with God, no. But I have grown and it’s evident. I have more knowledge, I understand certain things better, I am more committed than before.

I felt touched concerning what my dad said because in my confused state and struggles, someone was praying for me and God was intention about me, gradually leading me to where I am today. It is not a coincidence. It was beautiful to hear and think about and I was a little emotional (hard girl in the building).

I also remembered how I’d pray for one of my friends and every time I see him talking passionately about God and taking his walk seriously, it brings me joy. This was someone that was agnostic and tilting towards atheism. I would talk to him about God and he would kindly dismiss me. I remember taking it up in prayer, constantly praying for him and look at God, look at my friend today.

I also have a friend of mine whose walk with God makes me happy. She is growing and it’s evident. I remember this wasn’t so last year. I have been praying for her and that group of my friends and I’m happy to see it happen. The rest will catch on too.

In all, God is intentional about us and you might think you stumbled into salvation or walking fervently with God on your own but chances are, someone was praying for you and what is happening is a result of that prayer.

This is also to encourage people praying for their family, friends or someone to come into the faith or grow and walk deeply with God. It might seem like it’s taking time and you’ve been praying for so long, but I can tell you that your prayers will be answered, if not for anything, but for the fact that it’s in accordance with the will of God. It is God’s will that all men be saved.

Currently, there are 2 specific people I am constantly praying for in regards to this and I am waiting to testify because I know it will happen. When it does, I’ll reference this post. It might take time, but it will happen.

Prayers are effective.

As always, be a light in your space💫
