Thank God it’s Friday.

The above statement is something I just thought will be far away from my vocabulary for different reasons.

I know people make the statement because finally it’s the weekend and they can rest from work and just relax. I couldn’t relate for the following reasons.

Firstly, before focusing on freelancing full-time, I worked in the hospital and we operate shifts. This means Friday could be the beginning of my day shift in the hospital and Tuesday can be the day I get to rest. So when people are excited about Fridays, I’m not so keen on it. I am only excited when I’m on my off days, which could be when most people are out going to work.

Secondly, when I stopped working at the hospital, I became a full-time freelancer and we all know how freelancers can work all the days of a week and rest the next week. Point is, a freelancer has more control of their time and so sometimes they don’t really look forward to the weekend. They probably even have work to do for the weekend or like most people during weekends, they are resting. You never know and it’s not structured, except the freelancer intentionally sets out every weekend to rest.

Now that I think of it, even before I got employed in the hospital, I was working 4 times a week and I’m not sure I was so excited about the weekend.

Let’s bring it all back to where I am currently, and for the past few weeks, I’ve looked forward to the weekend. Even now more than previous weeks. Thank God it’s Friday.

My favorite thing about waking up on Saturday morning is waking up naturally without an alarm. I get to wake up anytime my eyes open and I get the luxury of sleeping back to wake up much later. It’s such an awesome feeling.

Anyway, there’s no lesson or anything “valuable” to get from today’s entry. I guess today is one of those days I just share something.

Oh and something happened to me this morning and I’ve been feeling really good. God delivered me and in addition, I have received clarity on what I needed some clarity in. I feel confident and hopeful.

Anyway, I hope you have a good weekend. I hope to have a relaxed one as well (keyword: hope😂).

Remember, be a light in your space 💫
