Day 11 of a lesson each day for 100 days
Today, I learned (was reminded) that putting yourself out there will never be easy especially when it’s something new or something you’re not used to or even something you haven’t done in a long time. It will always scare you.
Sometimes we are so comfortable where we are, yet reaching for more. However, when that more comes, we become afraid and we lead with lots of ‘what ifs’ and ‘how can this work out?’.
I realized that while we might think that we are not comfortable where we are, we might never know until something tries to bring us out from where we are and we refuse.
The new place you’re supposed to be in is very much better but something just scares you to move; to come out. Perhaps, it’s the fact that where you are now is familiar and safe, and so you don’t like the change even though you desire it (humans are weird though). It could be that where you are, is rewarding you; giving you payoff even though little. They must be significant though or maybe satisfying enough to want to keep you in your comfort zone.
You might not relate to all I’ve said but if you can, let me hear what you think.
What scares you about doing something new?
What scares you about leaving your comfort zone?
