Before I go into what I have for today, I’d like to know what you do when you feel overwhelmed with things happening in your life. How do you find relief?
Personally, when overwhelmed, I shut down. Just like when a computer is overloaded and there’s an error message, or it shuts down completely till it’s rebooted. Yeah, that’s how it is for me. I shut down till I’m rebooted. However, before I get to that level, know I’m really really really overwhelmed, because I’m not the kind of person to have important things to do, then neglect them. Doing such gives me anxiety.
Anyway, today I don’t really have much to say, only that being busy is a distraction and I recently realized it’s how I get myself to not think of what’s bothering me. Some people like to watch movie, listen to music or go out or something but for me, I’d still find a way to think. However, if I’m busy, especially the kind of busy that requires mental energy (like writing, learning, strategy, planning, etc.), I escape what’s bothering me. It’s highly effective.

Anyway, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed these past few days and this evening, it feels better.
Oh, I forgot to mention that, if you explore what’s giving you anxiety, you could discover a fear. If you explore that fear, you might dissect it enough to see that it’s not as big of a deal as you think and that’s one step to feeling better and moving forward.
