El-Roi is one of my favorite names and revelation of God. It means “The God who sees me”.

I remember the first time I came across this name intentionally (in February or so). It was while reading the book of Genesis, where the angel of God spoke to Hagar when she was sent away with her son, Ishmael in the desert (Genesis 16).

I remember reading it and something resonated deep within me. It felt like, yes, this is it. Ever since then, El-roi is one name and revelation of God I have greatly identified with because, indeed, God sees me.

No matter how much I feel misunderstood or afraid, uncertain, no matter how much I’m struggling, if no one knows or sees, God sees me. He knows and has plans for me.

God sees me, He sees you too.

Be a light in your space 💫
